Terms of Service
Effective October 7, 2026
ARBITRATION AGREEMENT AND CLASS-ACTION WAIVER. These Terms contain an arbitration agreement and class-action waiver. You can opt out within 30 days. Section 23 explains how disputes are resolved and how to opt out.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding contract. Please read them. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use BizMeet.
Key terms at a glance. This summary is here to help. The full Terms below control if anything in the summary seems different.
Weekly subscriptions renew automatically. Premium and VIP are weekly plans. They renew every week at the same price until you cancel in Google Play.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel in Google Play first, or you will keep being charged.
BizMeet is for professional networking. Use it only for lawful work and business. It is not a dating service. Romantic or sexual approaches are not allowed.
BizMeet does not offer jobs or pay members. We never offer employment, gigs or paid tasks, and we never charge anyone for a job. Off-the-books ("under the table") work, job scams and get-rich-quick schemes are not allowed on BizMeet. We do not check the offers members make, so check any job, deal or investment yourself before you rely on it.
BIZMEET DOES NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND SCREENINGS OF ITS MEMBERS. We also do not verify identity, employment or credentials. Use your own judgment with everyone you meet.
Questions. Email us at contact@bizmeetapp.org.
1. Agreement, acceptance and electronic communications
Who this agreement is between
These Terms are between you and BizMeet LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company ("BizMeet", "we", "us" or "our"). The "service" means the BizMeet mobile app and the website at https://bizmeetapp.org.
"You" means the person using the service. "Users" means anyone who uses the app or the website, whether or not they have an account. "Members" means users who have created a BizMeet account.
How you accept these Terms
You accept these Terms when you create an account by ticking the box on the sign-up screen that confirms you are 18 or older and agree to these Terms, which the screen links to. We keep a record of the version you accepted and when. When an update needs your acceptance, the app shows it and you can accept it or log out. If you use the service without an account, such as by visiting our website, you accept these Terms by using it.
Other documents that are part of these Terms
These documents are part of these Terms and apply to you:
- Privacy Policy: Privacy Policy
- US State Privacy Notice: US State Privacy Notice (including California Notice at Collection and Nevada notice)
- Community Guidelines: Community Guidelines
- Safety Policy and Safety Tips: Safety Policy and Safety Tips
- Cookie and Similar Technologies Policy: Cookie and Similar Technologies Policy
- Copyright and Trademark Policy: Copyright and Trademark Policy (DMCA)
- Child Safety Standards: Child Safety Standards
- Any terms shown to you at the point of purchase, such as the price, billing period and renewal terms on a purchase screen.
If one of these documents conflicts with these Terms, these Terms control, except that the Privacy Policy controls on how we handle personal data.
Electronic notices and records
By using BizMeet, you agree to receive notices, disclosures, agreements, receipts and other records from us electronically. We may send them in the app, by push notification, or by email to the address on your account. Electronic records have the same legal effect as paper ones. Some messages are part of having an account and can't be turned off (see the Privacy Policy, section 7).
To receive and keep these records, you need a device that can run the current version of the BizMeet app or a current web browser, and an email account you can access. You can save or print these Terms from our website at https://bizmeetapp.org.
You can ask for a free paper copy of any notice or agreement by emailing contact@bizmeetapp.org. You can also withdraw your consent to electronic records by emailing us. Because BizMeet is an app-based service, withdrawing consent means we will close your account. Withdrawing does not affect records we already provided electronically.
The email address on your account cannot be changed in the app. If your email address changes, contact us at contact@bizmeetapp.org so we can reach you.
2. What BizMeet is, and what it is not
What BizMeet is
BizMeet is a professional networking service for adults aged 18 and over. It helps members find co-founders, collaborators and other professional contacts, send connection requests, and chat.
For lawful work and business only. BizMeet is meant for lawful professional purposes, such as starting or growing a business, working together on a project, mentoring, exploring real roles or investments, and sharing professional knowledge. Every project, role, deal or service you pursue with someone you meet on BizMeet must be legal for both of you, including under the employment, tax, licensing and securities laws described in this section. Do not use BizMeet for anything illegal, deceptive or harmful.
What BizMeet is not
BizMeet is not a dating, matrimonial, companionship or romance service. Do not use BizMeet to look for a romantic or sexual partner. Romantic or sexual solicitation of other members is prohibited.
BizMeet is also not an employment agency, recruiter, staffing firm or job board, and it is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, funding portal, investment platform or escrow service. We do not match members to jobs, place anyone in work, offer or recommend investments, or hold money for anyone.
BizMeet does not offer jobs. BizMeet does not offer, post, sell or fill jobs, gigs, paid tasks or income opportunities, and it does not employ, pay or compensate members for using the service. Using BizMeet does not make you an employee, contractor or agent of BizMeet. BizMeet will never contact you with a job offer, charge you for one, or ask you to receive, hold or move money, checks, packages or goods. Any message that claims otherwise is not from BizMeet. Please report it. When a member offers work, they act for themselves or for their own business, never for BizMeet, and BizMeet does not hire, supervise or vouch for them. BizMeet does not sponsor visas or help anyone get work authorization.
Not a consumer reporting agency. BizMeet is not a consumer reporting agency, and information on BizMeet is not a consumer report. You may not use information from BizMeet to decide whether anyone is eligible for employment, credit, insurance, housing or any other purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
No professional advice. BizMeet does not give legal, tax, accounting, financial, investment or employment advice. Content from other members is not professional advice from BizMeet.
Events. BizMeet does not host, sponsor or supervise meetups, pitch nights, hackathons or other events that members organize or attend, unless we say so in writing.
Deals between members
Any deal, hire, investment, partnership or collaboration you make with another member is between you and that member. BizMeet is not a party to it and does not guarantee it. BizMeet does not check offers, take part in negotiations, or make hiring, partnering or investment decisions for anyone. Using BizMeet does not create any agency, partnership, joint venture, employment or fiduciary relationship between you and BizMeet.
Your responsibilities for work and deals
If you hire, contract with, invest with or go into business with another member, you alone are responsible for making sure the arrangement is lawful. This includes, where they apply:
- employment and wage laws, including minimum wage, overtime and final pay;
- correctly classifying workers as employees or independent contractors;
- tax reporting of all income, including income paid in cash, and tax withholding, payroll taxes, workers' compensation and unemployment insurance;
- verifying that workers are authorized to work in the United States;
- business licenses, professional licenses and permits;
- anti-discrimination laws in hiring, contracting and choosing business partners;
- privacy and data security laws for personal information you collect from others, such as an applicant's details;
- securities laws for any investment, equity or fundraising; and
- written agreements covering ownership, equity, pay, intellectual property and confidentiality.
Co-founders may agree to work for equity or deferred pay where the law allows, if the terms are clear and in writing. We recommend getting your own legal and tax advice before you sign anything.
Ideas you share. BizMeet cannot stop another member from using or repeating what you tell them, and BizMeet has no duty to protect your ideas, plans or pitches. Our Community Guidelines ask members to respect confidences, but if you need legal protection, sign a nondisclosure agreement with that member before you share.
How profiles are ordered
Discover, filters and Daily Picks use simple, fixed rules, not machine learning. For example, boosted members appear first in Discover, then members who were active most recently. Section 8 of the Privacy Policy at Privacy Policy explains the inputs each feature uses. These rules only suggest members to you. They do not decide whether you can use BizMeet.
3. Eligibility
To use BizMeet, you must meet all of these requirements:
- You are at least 18 years old and can form a binding contract.
- You are an individual person. Your profile is about you. You may describe your company or project in your profile, but accounts for a company, brand or group are not allowed.
- You have only one BizMeet account.
- You live in the United States. BizMeet is intended only for United States residents, and we make the app available in Google Play only in the countries we choose there. You may use BizMeet while briefly traveling outside the United States where local law allows.
- You are not in a country under a United States government embargo. You are not on a United States list of prohibited or restricted parties, such as the Office of Foreign Assets Control's Specially Designated Nationals list. No export, sanctions or other law bars you from using the service.
- We have not previously removed you from BizMeet, unless we gave you written permission to return.
- You are not required to register as a sex offender with any government, and you have never been convicted of, or pleaded guilty or no contest to, a violent felony or any sexual offense.
We do not screen members. The requirements above are promises you make to us. BizMeet does not check criminal records, sex-offender registries or identity documents, and it does not verify age beyond rejecting a birth date that makes you younger than 18. See section 12.
If you stop meeting these requirements, you must stop using BizMeet, your right to use it ends, and we may delete your account.
Members under 18. If we believe an account belongs to someone under 18, we delete it. If you think we got this wrong, you can appeal as described in section 11. If you learn that a member is under 18, stop contact with them and report them.
4. Your account and security
Signing in
You sign in with an email address and a password of at least 8 characters. We send one-time codes by email to confirm your email address and to reset your password. Never share your password or these codes with anyone. BizMeet will never ask you for them anywhere except the sign-up, sign-in, email confirmation and password reset screens in the app.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for all activity on your account. If you think someone else has accessed your account, change your password and tell us right away at contact@bizmeetapp.org.
When you reset your password, your account is signed out on your other devices.
No sharing or transfer
Your account is personal to you. Do not share it, let anyone else use it, or sell, give away or transfer it to anyone. Do not use anyone else's account, run an account for someone else, or try to get into an account that is not yours.
5. The verification badge
To earn the verification badge, a member confirms a phone number with a code sent by text message and connects a LinkedIn account whose first name matches their BizMeet first name. While a member is verified, their first name cannot be changed. Disconnecting LinkedIn removes the badge.
Your mobile carrier's message and data rates may apply to the text with your code and to using the app. You are responsible for those charges.
The badge means only that the member did those two things: received a code at a phone number and signed in to a LinkedIn account whose first name matches their BizMeet first name. It does not mean that we verified the member's identity, name, age, employer, job title, credentials, background or criminal history. Do not rely on the badge as proof of who someone is. The badge is not an endorsement by BizMeet, and it does not show that a member's claims, offers or intentions are genuine.
6. Rules of conduct
You must follow the Community Guidelines at Community Guidelines and all applicable laws. The list below summarizes what is not allowed. The Community Guidelines give more detail.
Honesty
- Lying about your identity, age, job title, employer, credentials, qualifications or affiliations, or about your business, such as its funding, revenue, customers or track record.
- Using photos that are not of you, such as stock, AI-generated or heavily altered images, or presenting a made-up identity.
- Pretending to be another person, company or organization, including BizMeet.
- Claiming to hire, recruit, invest or buy for a company, investor or other organization that you do not work for or are not authorized to represent, including by using look-alike names, websites or email addresses.
- Suggesting that BizMeet sponsors, endorses or vouches for you, your business or your statements.
Respect
- Harassing, bullying, stalking, threatening or intimidating anyone, including through repeated unwanted contact.
- Physical or sexual violence, or any sexual contact without consent, toward anyone you meet through BizMeet.
- Hateful content or conduct that attacks people based on a protected characteristic, or saying in your profile, request notes or messages that you will not work with people because of one.
- Posting or sending statements about a person or company that you know are false and that could harm their reputation.
- Romantic or sexual solicitation, or sexual content.
- Any content that sexualizes or exploits minors.
- Sharing, or threatening to share, intimate images of anyone without their consent. Victims can ask us to remove these images by emailing contact@bizmeetapp.org, as described in our Safety Policy at Safety Policy and Safety Tips.
- Threatening to expose someone's images, information or secrets to get money, images or anything else from them.
- Promoting violence, terrorism, self-harm, or illegal goods and services.
- Abusing, threatening or harassing BizMeet's staff or anyone who handles support for us.
Money and fraud
- Asking members for money, investments, cryptocurrency, gifts or loans under false pretenses.
- Asking members for donations, personal loans or gifts, including money for a claimed emergency.
- Advance-fee schemes, multi-level marketing recruitment, pyramid schemes and other scams or fraud.
- Using purchases to launder money or for any other unlawful financial purpose.
- Raising money for political campaigns, candidates or political committees.
Work, jobs and business opportunities
- Making job, contract, partnership, investment or other offers that are fake, or that you do not intend or are not able to carry out, including offers made to collect money, personal information or free work.
- Asking anyone for their Social Security number, bank or card details, ID documents or other sensitive personal information for a job or contract before you have made them a genuine written offer, or for more than a lawful hiring or onboarding process needs.
- Offering, seeking or arranging work "under the table" or "off the books", meaning work or pay arranged to avoid tax reporting or withholding, payroll taxes, minimum wage or overtime laws, workers' compensation or unemployment insurance, employment eligibility verification, or licensing requirements. This includes cash arrangements meant to keep income unreported and deliberately treating employees as independent contractors.
- Asking anyone to work without pay where the law requires pay, including unpaid "trial" work for a business.
- Job and task scams, including charging anyone to apply for, train for or start work; asking anyone to receive or reship packages, deposit or cash checks, receive or transfer money, open accounts, or buy equipment or "starter kits" for a job; and paid "task", "rating" or "click" work.
- Using BizMeet as a job board or recruiting channel, such as advertising job openings in request notes or Priority messages, recruiting in bulk, or recruiting for staffing agencies or other third parties. You may discuss a role on your own project or business with a member who has chosen to talk with you.
- Human trafficking, forced labor or commercial sex, including recruiting people for them with job, travel, visa or modeling offers, or offering or advertising sexual services.
- Promising visa sponsorship, work authorization or other immigration help that you cannot lawfully provide.
- Selling or promoting business opportunities, franchises, "passive income" or get-rich-quick programs, or courses and coaching that promise earnings, or making income or earnings claims you cannot support.
- Offering or selling securities, or asking members to invest, in violation of securities laws, including advertising an investment, promising returns, or promoting tokens, trading pools or other investment programs.
- Offering services that require a license you do not have, such as legal, accounting, tax, investment, insurance, real estate, lending or money transmission services.
- Using BizMeet to evade taxes, pay or receive bribes or kickbacks, finance terrorism or get around sanctions.
- Using information from BizMeet to decide anyone's eligibility for employment, credit, insurance or housing, or to discriminate unlawfully in hiring, contracting, choosing business partners or other business dealings.
Spam and privacy
- Spam, including bulk or repeated unsolicited sales pitches, promotions or messages.
- Using connection requests, request notes or Priority messages for advertising, sales offers, affiliate or referral links, or bulk invitations to events or programs.
- Using automated tools, including AI tools, to write or send messages in bulk. You may use writing tools to help draft your own profile or messages if the result is accurate and you stand behind it.
- Collecting other members' passwords, or collecting their contact details or other information in bulk or without their permission.
- Selling, renting or trading information about members, lists of members, or access to your account or to BizMeet.
- Sharing anyone's private or confidential information without permission, including their contact details, photos, or business secrets.
- Sharing information you have a legal or contractual duty to keep confidential, such as a current or former employer's trade secrets.
Technical misuse
- Scraping, crawling or copying the service or member data by any automated means, or using bots or AI agents to operate an account.
- Using content or data from BizMeet to build a database, directory or lead list, or to train AI or machine-learning models.
- Accessing BizMeet's systems, including its servers, databases and APIs, other than through the official BizMeet app and website.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling or disassembling the app, except where the law allows it despite this rule.
- Showing BizMeet inside another website or app (framing), making a copy of it elsewhere (mirroring), or using the BizMeet name or logo without our permission.
- Uploading viruses or other harmful code, sending links to phishing sites or malware, or disguising where content came from, for example by faking message headers or other identifiers.
- Overloading, disrupting or interfering with the service or its security.
- Looking for security weaknesses in BizMeet, for example by running scanners or attack tools against it, except as allowed by our Security and Vulnerability Disclosure Policy at Security and Vulnerability Disclosure Policy.
Good-faith security research that follows our Security and Vulnerability Disclosure Policy at Security and Vulnerability Disclosure Policy does not break these Terms.
Enforcement
- Getting around a block, restriction or removal, including by creating a new account or by using paid features.
- Making false, misleading or bad-faith reports or appeals, including reports aimed at someone because of a protected characteristic.
- Encouraging or helping anyone else to break these rules.
If you break these rules, your license to use BizMeet under section 10 ends automatically, and we may take the actions described in section 11.
7. Your content
What your content is
"Your content" means anything you add to BizMeet. This includes your profile details, photos, written statements, answers and availability, notes you attach to connection requests, messages, and the reports you file. BizMeet does not offer AI tools to create content.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for your content. It must be accurate, and you must keep it up to date. You promise that you own your content or have the rights needed to post it, including permission from anyone who appears in your photos. Do not post photos of anyone under 18.
No personal contact details in your profile
Your profile may name your company and describe your work. It must not include, in text or in photos, phone numbers, home addresses, email addresses (personal or work), web links, QR codes, social media handles, payment handles, bank or card details, or other financial details. If you choose to share contact details with someone in a chat, you do so at your own risk.
Who can see your content
Your profile is shown to other members as described in the Privacy Policy at Privacy Policy. Messages are shown to the member you are chatting with. Other members can take screenshots or copy what they see. Think carefully about what you share.
You cannot delete individual messages. When you block or disconnect a member, or delete your account, the chat is removed for both of you. Some privacy features, such as Incognito, are part of Premium or VIP. They stop working when your plan ends, and your profile can then appear in Discover again. Other members can see your city, your approximate distance and when you were last active unless you turn these off in Settings.
Our right to review and remove
We may review, restrict or remove any content at any time, including content we believe breaks these Terms or the law. We are not required to host, review or keep any content. Do not rely on BizMeet to keep copies of your content. Save anything you may need later, because chats can be deleted as described above. Our decision to act on some content, or not to act on other content, does not make us responsible for it. This reflects the protections in 47 U.S.C. 230(c).
8. License you give BizMeet
You keep ownership of your content. To run BizMeet, we need your permission to use it. You give BizMeet a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, display to members, transmit, moderate, make evidence copies of, and back up your content. We may use this license only to operate, secure and improve BizMeet and to enforce these Terms. We may let our service providers use your content for these same purposes on our behalf.
This license ends when you delete the content or your account, with these exceptions:
- Copies of messages kept as moderation evidence after a report, block or disconnect, deleted on the schedule in the Privacy Policy. These evidence copies are kept even if you or the other member deletes your account.
- Copies in routine backups, until they are overwritten in the normal course.
- Content we must keep to meet a legal obligation, respond to legal process, or protect someone's safety.
- Copies other members made, such as screenshots, which are outside our control.
We will not use your content, including your name or photos, in advertising or marketing without your separate permission. We will not use your content to train AI or machine-learning models.
This license does not limit the rights you have over your personal information under our Privacy Policy and privacy laws, such as your rights to access, correct and delete it.
We do not claim ownership of any review you write about BizMeet, for example in an app store. Nothing in these Terms stops you from giving an honest review of BizMeet.
9. Other members' content
Content posted by other members belongs to them. BizMeet is not responsible for it and does not check it. Verify what members tell you on your own, including job titles, companies, funding, credentials and past results.
You may use other members' content only for professional networking on BizMeet. Do not copy, publish or sell it, use it for commercial purposes, add it to mailing lists, or use it to spam or harass anyone.
Information members share with you. If a member gives you contact details, a resume, a pitch deck, a business plan or other information, use it only for the conversation or opportunity they shared it for. Do not add it to marketing or recruiting lists, sell it, or pass it to anyone else without their permission, except to report a problem to us, the police or another authority, or to get legal advice. If you collect personal information from members, for example when you consider someone for a role, you are responsible for handling it lawfully, keeping it secure and deleting it when you no longer need it.
10. BizMeet's content, app license and feedback
What BizMeet owns
BizMeet LLC owns the BizMeet app, the website, their design, text, graphics and code, and the BizMeet name and logo, which are our trademarks. These Terms do not give you any rights in them except the license below. We reserve all rights we do not expressly grant.
Your license to use the app
As long as you follow these Terms, we give you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable license to install and use the BizMeet app on devices you own or control, and to use the service, for your one BizMeet account.
Updates
We may update the app automatically or ask you to install updates. Some updates may be needed to keep using BizMeet, and you must use the current version.
Feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions or other feedback, we may use them freely, without paying you or owing you anything.
Support
BizMeet LLC, not Google or any other app store, is responsible for the BizMeet app and for supporting it. Google is not a party to these Terms. For help, email contact@bizmeetapp.org. Google handles only payments and refunds made through Google Play (see section 15).
Apple devices
BizMeet is available only on Android through Google Play. If we release an iPhone version, we will add the terms Apple requires before we offer it.
11. Reporting, moderation and enforcement
How to report and block
You can report a member in the app from the menu on their profile or in your chat with them, including the profile of a request you have revealed. Choose a reason, and you can then block the member too. You can also email reports to contact@bizmeetapp.org.
Blocking is instant. A blocked member can no longer see you, send you requests or message you, and your chat with them is removed for both of you.
How we review reports
A person at BizMeet reviews reports. We do not review profiles or messages before they appear, and we do not use automated tools to scan them. We aim to act promptly, but we cannot promise a specific response time.
When you file a report, we keep a copy of up to the latest 100 messages in your chat with that member. When you block or disconnect, we keep up to the latest 500. We keep report copies as evidence for about 180 days, and block or disconnect copies for 30 days unless a report follows, even if either account has been deleted in the meantime. The Privacy Policy explains more.
We may not be able to tell you what action we took on a report. We do not tell the reported member who reported them, and we share a reporter's identity only in the cases our Safety Policy at Safety Policy and Safety Tips describes. We may keep the reasons for our decisions private when needed to protect someone's safety.
What we may do
If we believe someone has broken these Terms or the law, or put anyone at risk, we may do any of the following:
- Remove or restrict content.
- Warn the member.
- Limit features on the account, or suspend or delete the account.
- Preserve information as evidence.
- Report the matter to law enforcement or other authorities.
We decide what to do based on how serious the conduct is, its context and the member's history. Serious violations lead to deletion of the account, even the first time. These include child sexual exploitation, sharing intimate images without consent, extortion, human trafficking, threats or acts of violence, and fraud, including job, task and investment scams. Repeated violations lead to deletion of the account, even when each one alone would lead only to a warning.
We may act before anyone is harmed, for example when an account's activity strongly suggests it is using lies or a fake identity to try to obtain money, personal details or other valuables from members.
We may act on conduct that happens off BizMeet if it involves members or people they met through BizMeet, including conduct in person, by phone, by email or on other apps. Examples include harassment, threats, violence and fraud that started on BizMeet.
We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), as federal law requires. See our Child Safety Standards at Child Safety Standards.
Preserving and disclosing information
We may access, preserve and disclose your account information and content if we believe in good faith that it is reasonably necessary to comply with the law or valid legal process, to enforce these Terms, to respond to claims, to prevent fraud or abuse, or to protect the rights, property or safety of members, BizMeet or others. The Privacy Policy at Privacy Policy and our Law Enforcement Guide at Law Enforcement Guide explain how we handle these requests.
Paid features and blocks
Paid features never let you reach someone who has blocked you. A member who blocked you is left out of your Discover feed and profile lookups, and you cannot send them a connection request, a Priority message or a chat message, whatever plan or extras you have.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content on BizMeet infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent as described in our Copyright and Trademark Policy at Copyright and Trademark Policy (DMCA). Our designated agent is Copyright Agent, BizMeet LLC, 2809 E Hamilton Ave, Unit #2177, Eau Claire, WI 54701. Phone: (507) 312-6406. Email: contact@bizmeetapp.org (subject: DMCA). In appropriate circumstances, we end the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe others' copyrights.
Appeals
If we take action on your account or content and you think we got it wrong, you can appeal by emailing contact@bizmeetapp.org within 6 months of our action. Tell us your account email and why you think the decision was wrong. We will review your appeal. We cannot restore a deleted account or its data. If we agree that we made a mistake, you may create a new account. Because that deletion was not for a breach of these Terms, we will also refund your unused extras and the unused part of your current week as described in sections 16 and 18.
12. Your safety and interactions with others
BIZMEET DOES NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND SCREENINGS OF ITS MEMBERS. BIZMEET ALSO DOES NOT CHECK MEMBERS' IDENTITIES. We also do not verify members' ages, employers, job titles, credentials or statements.
You alone are responsible for your interactions with other members, both online and in person. Be careful when you share information, send money, sign agreements or meet anyone. Read our Safety Policy and Safety Tips at Safety Policy and Safety Tips.
Notifications you receive, such as new requests or visits, can be triggered by people who misuse the service. Treat them with the same caution as any contact from someone you do not know.
BizMeet makes no promises about any member's identity, conduct or intentions.
Meeting in person
BizMeet cannot control what members do outside the app. BizMeet is not present at, and does not organize or supervise, meetings between members. If you meet someone, meet in a public place, tell someone you trust where you will be, arrange your own way there and back, and leave if you feel unsafe. If you are in danger, call 911.
Job, money and investment offers
Some people create fake profiles that pose as recruiters, hiring managers, investors or business owners to take money, personal information or free work. BizMeet does not check offers or the people who make them. If you are looking for work, clients or funding:
- check the person and the business yourself, using sources you find on your own, such as a state business registry or the company's official website;
- get the offer, the pay and the other terms in writing before you start;
- never pay the person offering the work to get the job or contract, or for training, equipment or a "starter kit";
- do not give your Social Security number, bank details or ID documents until you have a written offer you have checked;
- refuse to receive or reship packages, deposit checks or move money for anyone; and
- be wary of high pay for little work, guaranteed income or returns, cash-only pay, and pressure to decide fast.
Work paid "under the table" can make it hard to prove what you earned and to claim minimum wage, overtime, workers' compensation or unemployment benefits, and the income is still taxable. If someone you worked for did not pay what the law requires, the US Department of Labor can help, as our Safety Tips explain. Report suspicious offers in the app, and report scams to the Federal Trade Commission at https://reportfraud.ftc.gov. Our Safety Tips at Safety Policy and Safety Tips list more warning signs.
Disputes between members
You are responsible for resolving your own disputes with other members. BizMeet may review reports and act as described in section 11. It does not have to take part in a dispute between members.
To the extent the law allows, you release BizMeet and its owners, managers, employees, agents, service providers, licensors, successors and assigns from claims and damages, known and unknown, that arise from disputes between you and other members. If you live in California, you give up the protection of California Civil Code section 1542, which keeps a general release from covering claims you did not know or suspect when you gave it. The state exceptions in section 20 still apply.
13. Paid features and how purchases work
What you can buy
BizMeet offers these paid features:
- Premium and VIP, which are weekly subscriptions.
- One-time packs of extras: connection requests, boosts, unblurs and Priority messages.
The Compare plans screen in the app shows what each plan includes.
How you pay
All purchases are made through Google Play Billing. We use RevenueCat to manage purchases and entitlements. Google Play's terms and policies also apply to your purchases. BizMeet never receives your card number or other payment details.
Prices and taxes
The price is shown in your local currency on the Google Play purchase screen before you buy. Taxes may apply.
No guaranteed results
Boosts, unblurs, Priority messages, Daily Picks and other paid features change how and when profiles and requests are shown. They do not guarantee any number of profile views, requests, connections or replies, or any business result.
Changes to plans and sales
We may change which features each plan includes. If a change reduces what your current plan includes, we will give you notice before it takes effect. We may refuse or limit sales where the law allows, for example to prevent fraud.
14. Subscriptions and automatic renewal
How renewal works
Premium and VIP are weekly subscriptions. Each subscription renews automatically every week at the same price and is charged to your Google Play payment method until you cancel. There is no minimum commitment. You can cancel at any time.
Your plan week runs for 7 days from the date your plan started.
Changing plans
If you upgrade from Premium to VIP, the upgrade starts right away and Google Play charges the prorated difference. If you downgrade, the change takes effect when your current week renews.
Weekly allowances
Each plan includes allowances, such as a number of boosts, unblurs and Priority messages each week (2 each for Premium and 5 each for VIP) and a number of connection requests in each 24-hour period (15 for Premium and 50 for VIP). Allowances reset each period and do not roll over. Current allowances are shown on the Compare plans screen.
Price changes
If we raise the price of your subscription, we will tell you in the app or by email at least 7 days, and no more than 30 days, before the new price applies. If the law requires more notice, we will give it. Google Play will also notify you under its own price-change process, which may ask you to accept the new price. If you do not want to pay the new price, cancel before it takes effect.
Promotions and trials
From time to time we may offer a subscription at a discounted price for a limited time. The offer shows the discounted weekly price and when the offer ends. The offer end date is the last day you can buy at that price. A discounted subscription renews at the price shown on the Google Play purchase screen until you cancel, and the price-change rules above apply if that price ever changes.
BizMeet does not offer free trials. If we offer one, we will show you the exact date by which you must cancel to avoid being charged, and we will remind you at least 3 days before the trial ends.
How to cancel
You can cancel at any time in either of these ways:
- In the Google Play Store app, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Choose BizMeet and tap Cancel subscription.
- In the BizMeet app, go to Settings and tap Manage subscription, which opens your subscription in Google Play.
After you cancel, you keep your plan until the end of the week you already paid for. It will not renew after that. To avoid being charged for the next week, cancel before your renewal date and time shown in Google Play.
Deleting or uninstalling does not cancel. Deleting your BizMeet account or uninstalling the app does not cancel your Google Play subscription. You must cancel it in Google Play. If we delete your account, section 18 explains what happens to your subscription.
15. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel a subscription at any time in Google Play. It stays active until the end of the week you paid for and then stops renewing.
Refunds
Google Play may give refunds on its own, usually if you ask within about 48 hours of a purchase, under Google Play's refund policies. After that, contact us at contact@bizmeetapp.org. We will decide your request under this section and the law. If a refund is given by Google Play or by us, the plan, allowances or extras you received from that purchase are removed.
Except as described in this section, or where the law requires otherwise, purchases are not refundable, and we do not give refunds or credits for partial weeks or for extras you have used.
Your right to cancel within three business days
CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS. IF YOU LIVE IN ARIZONA, CALIFORNIA, COLORADO, CONNECTICUT, ILLINOIS, IOWA, MINNESOTA, NEW YORK, NORTH CAROLINA, OHIO, RHODE ISLAND OR WISCONSIN, YOU MAY CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION, WITHOUT PENALTY OR OBLIGATION, AT ANY TIME BEFORE MIDNIGHT OF THE THIRD BUSINESS DAY AFTER THE DATE YOU SUBSCRIBED, AND RECEIVE A FULL REFUND.
To cancel, email contact@bizmeetapp.org from your account's email address, or write to us at BizMeet LLC, 2809 E Hamilton Ave, Unit #2177, Eau Claire, WI 54701, saying that you cancel your subscription. You don't need to give a reason. Your notice counts from when you send it. Business days are Monday to Friday, except federal holidays. We will refund all payments for that subscription within 10 days of receiving your notice. Also cancel the subscription in Google Play so it does not renew.
Death or disability
If you die before the end of a subscription period you paid for, your estate may ask for a refund of the part of the payment for the time after your death. If you become disabled so that you can't use BizMeet, as a doctor confirms, you may ask for a refund of the part of the payment for the time after the disability began. Write to contact@bizmeetapp.org or BizMeet LLC, 2809 E Hamilton Ave, Unit #2177, Eau Claire, WI 54701.
Additional rights under state law
If the law of your state gives you more rights to cancel or get a refund, such as rights that apply when you move, we will honor them.
16. Extras (store packs)
What you buy
Each pack shows its price in real money and the exact number of extras it contains, for example 5 connection requests or 3 unblurs. There is no in-app currency or coins.
What extras are
Extras are a limited, personal, non-transferable and revocable license to use a feature. They are not property and have no cash value. We never charge fees for not using them.
How extras are used
Extras are used only after your plan's allowance for that feature runs out. They do not expire while your account is open.
When extras are lost
Unused extras are lost if you delete your account, or if we delete your account because you broke these Terms. If we delete your account for another reason, we will refund the value of your unused extras.
Refunds and restoring
If a pack is refunded, we remove the extras from that pack from your balance. If you already used some of them, we take the same number from extras of that type you buy later, but your balance never goes below zero. If a refund is later reversed, we add the extras back.
You may not transfer, sell, trade or give away extras or your account. If you use Restore purchases in Settings, an active Premium or VIP subscription bought with your Google Play account may move to the BizMeet account signed in at that time, and away from any other BizMeet account that held it. Extras already added to a BizMeet account stay with that account and do not move.
If we discontinue a pack feature
If we stop offering a feature that you hold unused extras for, we will give you equivalent value or refund your unused extras.
We will not make changes to these Terms that take away extras you already bought.
17. Billing problems, errors and chargebacks
If we make a billing error, such as crediting the wrong number of extras or giving access you did not pay for, we may correct it.
If you have a problem with a charge, contact Google Play first, since Google handles all payments. If Google Play cannot help, email us at contact@bizmeetapp.org with your account email and the Google Play order number.
You may dispute a charge with Google Play or your bank. Disputing a charge will not lead us to lock or delete your account. If the charge is reversed, the plan, allowances or extras from that purchase may be removed.
18. Ending your account; termination by BizMeet
These Terms apply from the time you first use BizMeet until your account is deleted, or until these Terms end in another way described here. Parts of them continue after that, as listed at the end of this section.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings, then Account, then Delete account. You can also follow the steps at Delete Your BizMeet Account. Remember to cancel any subscription in Google Play first (see section 14).
When we may end or limit your account
We may decline to open an account where the law allows.
We may suspend, restrict or delete your account, or remove access to some features, if:
- you break these Terms, the Community Guidelines or the law;
- we need to do so to protect the safety or rights of members, BizMeet or others;
- your account creates legal risk for BizMeet or we must act under the law;
- your account appears to have been taken over by someone else, in which case we may take steps to protect it, such as starting a password reset, and we may ask you to show us the account is yours; or
- we stop offering the service.
We may also close an account for another reason, at our discretion, where the law allows. If we do, we will tell you, and the refund described below applies.
When it is safe and lawful, we will tell you the reason.
If we delete your account, or stop offering the service, we will cancel any active BizMeet subscription through Google Play so it does not renew, and we will tell you by email. If we delete your account for a reason other than your breach of these Terms, we will also refund the unused part of your current week. If we delete your account because you broke these Terms, we do not refund the rest of your current week or your unused extras, except where the law requires it.
After your account ends
After your account ends, these Terms continue to apply to anything that happened before. We handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
These sections survive after your account ends or these Terms end: 1 (electronic records), 2, 7, 8 (to the extent stated), 9, 10 (ownership and feedback), 11, 12, 15 and 16 (for refunds already owed), 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26 and 27.
19. Third-party services
BizMeet relies on services run by other companies, including Google Play, RevenueCat, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Twilio (for phone codes), Cloudflare (for bot checks) and LinkedIn (for the verification badge). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. BizMeet is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by LinkedIn, Google or any other company named in these Terms.
Members may also share links to other websites, products or services. BizMeet does not control, check or endorse third-party services, websites, products or offers, and is not responsible for them. If you use them, you do so at your own risk and under their terms.

State exceptions
New Jersey residents. The disclaimer of implied warranties in this section, the limits in section 21 and the indemnity in section 22 do not apply to you for claims based on our negligence, fraud, or violation of the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, or for personal injury.
Residents of Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Vermont, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. The disclaimer of implied warranties in this section does not apply to you if your state's law does not allow implied warranties to be disclaimed in consumer transactions.
21. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, BIZMEET AND ITS OWNERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, LICENSORS, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS (THE "BIZMEET PARTIES") WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, GOODWILL OR DATA, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR BIZMEET.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, THE BIZMEET PARTIES ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY HARM CAUSED BY THE CONDUCT OF OTHER MEMBERS OR OTHER PEOPLE, ONLINE OR OFFLINE.
THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF ALL THE BIZMEET PARTIES TOGETHER FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR BIZMEET IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR BIZMEET PURCHASES IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) US$100.
THESE LIMITS APPLY TO EVERY LEGAL THEORY, INCLUDING CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE AND WARRANTY, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD SUCH DAMAGES WERE POSSIBLE.
THESE LIMITS DO NOT APPLY TO LIABILITY FOR OUR GROSS NEGLIGENCE, WILLFUL MISCONDUCT OR FRAUD, OR TO LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY WHERE THE LAW DOES NOT ALLOW IT TO BE LIMITED. SEE ALSO THE STATE EXCEPTIONS IN SECTION 20.
22. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless BizMeet and its owners, managers, employees, agents, service providers, licensors, successors and assigns from claims, losses, damages and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, brought by third parties and arising from:
- your content;
- your conduct toward other members or other people;
- any work, hire, investment, partnership or other arrangement you make with another member, including whether it complies with employment, tax and securities laws;
- your breach of these Terms or the law; or
- your infringement of anyone's intellectual property or other rights.
This section applies only to the extent the law allows. See also the state exceptions in section 20. We will tell you promptly about any claim covered by this section and may choose to control its defense.
23. Dispute resolution
Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to go to court and to join a class action.
Informal resolution first
Before starting arbitration or a court case, you and BizMeet agree to try to resolve any dispute informally. To start, send a written notice to contact@bizmeetapp.org, or we will send one to the email address on your account. The notice must include your name, your account email address, a description of the dispute and the facts behind it, and the relief you want.
We both agree to try in good faith to resolve the dispute for 60 days after the notice is received. During that time, any deadlines for bringing a claim, including statutes of limitations, are paused. If the dispute is not resolved within 60 days, either of us may start arbitration or, where this section allows, go to court.
Agreement to arbitrate
Except as described below, you and BizMeet agree that any dispute, claim or controversy arising from or relating to these Terms, the service, or your relationship with BizMeet ("dispute") will be resolved by final and binding individual arbitration, and not in court.
Rules and administrator
The arbitration will be run by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. If 25 or more similar claims are filed against or on behalf of the same party by the same or coordinated counsel, the AAA's Mass Arbitration Supplementary Rules also apply. The rules and filing forms are available at https://www.adr.org. If these Terms conflict with the AAA rules, the AAA rules control, except for the class-action waiver.
Fees
BizMeet will pay all fees the AAA assigns to the business under its rules. Your share of fees is limited to what the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules assign to consumers. Each side pays its own attorneys' fees and costs unless the arbitrator awards them under applicable law.
Hearings
If your claim is for $25,000 or less, the arbitration may be decided on written submissions alone, unless either party or the arbitrator asks for a hearing. Hearings may be held by video or phone. If an in-person hearing is held, it will take place in the county where you live, unless we both agree to another place.
Who decides
The arbitrator decides all questions about whether a dispute must be arbitrated, including the scope, validity and enforceability of this agreement to arbitrate. However, a court decides whether the class-action waiver and the rules on public injunctive relief below are valid and enforceable, and whether a claim falls under the sexual assault and sexual harassment exception.
Exceptions to arbitration
Small claims. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court instead of arbitration, as long as the claim stays in small-claims court and is not brought as a class or representative action.
Intellectual property and unauthorized access. Either of us may go to court to ask for an injunction or other equitable relief to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property, or unauthorized access to or use of the service or its systems.
Sexual assault and sexual harassment. If you have a dispute involving a sexual assault or sexual harassment claim, you may choose to bring it in court instead of arbitration, including as part of a class or group action where the law allows. This follows the Ending Forced Arbitration of Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment Act (9 U.S.C. 401 to 402).
Where the law forbids arbitration. This agreement to arbitrate does not apply to any claim that the law does not allow to be arbitrated under a pre-dispute agreement.
Class-action and jury waiver
EXCEPT FOR CLAIMS DESCRIBED UNDER "SEXUAL ASSAULT AND SEXUAL HARASSMENT" ABOVE, AND ONLY FOR DISPUTES THAT ARE ARBITRATED UNDER THIS SECTION, YOU AND BIZMEET EACH AGREE TO BRING DISPUTES ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. THE ARBITRATOR MAY AWARD RELIEF ONLY TO THE INDIVIDUAL PARTY SEEKING IT AND ONLY AS NEEDED FOR THAT PARTY'S INDIVIDUAL CLAIM. BECAUSE THESE DISPUTES GO TO ARBITRATION, YOU AND BIZMEET EACH WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL FOR THEM.
If a court finds this waiver unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim will go to court, not to class arbitration, and this agreement to arbitrate still applies to all other claims.
Public injunctive relief
If you seek public injunctive relief (relief that mainly benefits the general public rather than you) and a court finds you cannot be required to arbitrate that request, that request will be severed and decided by a court. The court case will be paused until the arbitration of your individual claims is finished.
Your right to opt out
You may opt out of this agreement to arbitrate within 30 days after you create your account or first accept a version of these Terms that contains it. To opt out, email contact@bizmeetapp.org from the email address on your account with the subject "Arbitration opt-out". Include your name and a clear statement that you want to opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in court under section 24. If you opt out, the class-action and jury waivers in this section do not apply to you either. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
Changes to this section
If we make a material change to this section, we will give you notice. You may reject a material change to this section by emailing contact@bizmeetapp.org within 30 days after we notify you, even if you accepted it in the app. If you reject it, the version of this section you last accepted continues to apply to you. Any change applies only to disputes based on facts that arise after the change takes effect.
Federal Arbitration Act
This agreement to arbitrate involves interstate commerce and is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act (9 U.S.C. 1 and following). It survives after your account ends.
24. Governing law and venue
Wisconsin law governs these Terms and any dispute between you and BizMeet, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The Federal Arbitration Act governs section 23.
Any dispute that is not arbitrated must be brought only in the state courts of Dunn County, Wisconsin, or in the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin. The same courts hear any action to enforce or challenge an arbitration award. You and BizMeet agree to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Small-claims cases may be brought wherever the law allows.
Nothing in these Terms takes away any consumer protection right that the law of the state where you live gives you and that cannot be waived by contract.
25. Changes to the Terms and the service
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If we make a material change, we will tell you in advance in the app or by email, and we will show the date the change takes effect. Except as described in the next paragraph, if you keep using BizMeet after that date, you accept the updated Terms.
If we make a material change to sections 20, 21 or 23, we will ask you to accept it, in the app or by email, before it applies to you. Until you accept it, the version of those sections you last accepted continues to apply to you, and we may ask you to accept before you continue using BizMeet. Changes to section 23 also follow the rules in that section.
We will not change these Terms to take away extras you already bought or to change the terms of a purchase you already made.
Changes to the service
We may add, change or remove features at any time, including by adding required security features. If a change removes a paid feature you already paid for, section 16 applies to extras, and you can cancel your subscription at any time.
26. State-specific notices

Under California Civil Code section 1789.3, California users are entitled to this notice. The service is provided by BizMeet LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company, which conducts its business from 308 12th Ave W, Menomonie, WI 54751. Phone: (507) 312-6406. Mailing address: BizMeet LLC, 2809 E Hamilton Ave, Unit #2177, Eau Claire, WI 54701. The charges for paid features are shown to you at the time of purchase, and you can read about them, and our refund policy, in sections 13 to 16. To receive our legal name, this address and our refund policy by email, email contact@bizmeetapp.org. If you have a complaint, you may contact us at contact@bizmeetapp.org. Parental controls
Under 47 U.S.C. 230(d), we are letting you know that parental control tools, such as device settings, software and filtering services, are commercially available and may help limit minors' access to harmful material. BizMeet is only for adults. You can learn about these tools from the Federal Trade Commission at https://consumer.ftc.gov/articles/how-use-parental-controls-keep-your-kid-safer-online.
Other states
If the law of your state gives you rights or notices beyond these Terms, they still apply. We do not guarantee that you will receive any number of connections or referrals.
27. General terms
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the documents listed in section 1, are the entire agreement between you and BizMeet about the service. They replace any earlier agreements, including earlier versions of these Terms.
Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, that part will be changed only as much as needed to make it enforceable, and the rest of the Terms stay in effect. Section 23 has its own rules for what happens if parts of it are unenforceable.
No waiver. If we do not enforce a part of these Terms, that does not mean we give up the right to enforce it later.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account. We may assign these Terms, for example as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, and we will tell you if we do.
Headings. Headings and the summary at the top are for convenience only and do not change the meaning of these Terms.
Events beyond our control. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, outages of third-party services, internet failures, labor disputes or government action.
Death of a member. Accounts cannot be transferred, and an account ends when its member dies, unless the law requires otherwise. A family member or the estate's representative can ask us to delete the account, as described at Delete Your BizMeet Account. See section 15 for refunds.
Language. These Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version controls to the extent the law allows.
Notices. We may send you notices by email to the address on your account or in the app. You may send notices to BizMeet by email to contact@bizmeetapp.org, and legal notices also by mail to BizMeet LLC, 2809 E Hamilton Ave, Unit #2177, Eau Claire, WI 54701.
